Ultimately you should wear what you’re comfortable in—because when you’re comfortable you’ll look more confident in your headshots. That said, try to avoid anything that will distract the viewer from connecting with you. Solid colors are better than busy patterns, and minimal to no jewelry is best. Keep your makeup choices subtle as well.
After you book a session, you’ll receive a link to a headshot preparation guide that will go over these tips and more.
When you book an individual headshot session, you get two hours of studio time, which includes unlimited wardrobe changes and gallery review.
You will have an opportunity to review images as we go along to make sure we’re getting shots that you love, and you can use as little or as much of your allotted time as you want. Some clients are in and out in under 30 minutes, while others have used their full session time.
I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to headshots. Some clients only need one image, while others want several for different purposes. By keeping the session fee separate, you have complete control—you only purchase the images you truly love. This way, you get exactly what you need, without paying for extras you don’t. Images are $195 each, plus tax.
After we’ve shot all your images, we’ll look at what we got on a big screen. We’ll go through your images one by one, identifying which ones to consider/keep, and which ones to pass on. We’ll go through as many rounds as you need to narrow your selection to only the images you love.
Once you’ve picked your final images, you’ll pay for those ($195 each, plus tax), and we’ll discuss retouching.
Final images will be delivered to you in a private, online gallery in five to seven business days.
Retouching is included with every image that you purchase. This includes color corrections, blemish removal, teeth whitening, shine reduction, stray hair cleanup and under-eye softening. We’ll also discuss any areas where you might want additional editing.
Yes, for each image you purchase you’ll receive a full-size, high-resolution digital file. You’ll also get additional crops/versions ready for a variety of uses. These include:
- 5×4, landscape orientation
- 4×5, portrait orientation (perfect for an 8×10 print)
- Square, ready for social media/LinkedIn profiles
You will also receive a black and white version for each.
